A Little Introduction
About CAMPA
CAMPA was created to ensure that funds collected for compensatory afforestation, net present value (NPV) and interest of forest land, and other forest-related purposes are effectively utilized for the restoration and development of forest ecosystems.
It operates under the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Act, 2016, which provides a legal framework for the collection, management, and utilization of these funds.
The CAMPA Act aims to minimize the impact of forest land diversion for non-forest purposes by ensuring that funds are promptly, efficiently, and transparently released and utilized through a well-defined institutional mechanism.
